Wondering about How to Measure Walls for Wallpaper? Not to worry, we would be happy to assist you. Like for anything else, a perfect size is very important for a customised wallmural that will decorate your walls.
Imagine if you were to buy wallpaper in excess, it would serve no purpose and the extra rolls will be lying around adding to the mess. Similarly, if you were to order less than required wallpaper to cover your wall space, it would look incomplete and untidy. If it is not a perfect fit the wallpaper will appear frayed and peel off near the corners. So it is important to pick the right size.
You would have to follow simple steps to measure your wall. It would be different for two kinds of wallpaper requirements:-

They give you the best reflection of the wall space that you use it on and of course it is also better value for money.
- Width – From one corner to the other, measure the horizontal distance of the wall.
- Height – Since some walls are not a perfect square, measure the vertical height at each corner of the wall. If there is a difference in height, always select the greater of the two height measurements.
For Partial Wall Coverings
Partial Wall Coverings are used for defining certain smaller spaces at your home or office space. They too add great aesthetic value to the overall décor and layout of the space. In order to measure Partial Wall coverings you would need to follow the below mentioned steps.
Make registration marks along the area that you want to cover.
- Width – Measure the horizontal distance between registration marks.
- Height – Measure the vertical height at each corner of the registration mark. You may want to cover a variety of heights. In case of difference in height, always select the greater of the two height measurements.
